We needed a new author for Family Law, and we have given her plenty to do to keep her busy. Emily Bruce from Reids Family Law is a bit of a catch, and we know this because she used to work for us in the Family Precedents department. She will be writing for the Child Support Act 1991 chapter in Family Law – Child Law, the Family Proceedings Act 1980, pts 9 and 10 in Family Law – Family Procedure and Property (Relationships) Act 1976, ss 22–41 in Family Law – Family Property.

Emily is a Partner at Reids Family Law, based in Lower Hutt, Wellington and is fully experienced in all areas of family law. She has also been a criminal defence lawyer, a duty solicitor in the District Court, a member of the Lawyer for Child panel and a volunteer for the Community Law Centre.
