The High Court had sentenced P to one year’s home detention on five charges of possession of methamphetamine for supply. The CA had substituted a sentence of two years, 11 months' imprisonment.

Unsuccessful application by L for leave to appeal against an award of $75,000 made against the Police for procedural failings in his prosecution for murder. L had sought $150,000 to be paid equally by Police and the Crown prosecutor. The lower Courts had found that responsibility for disclosure failures rested with Police, not with the Crown prosecutor.
